Why We Miss Them
Banjo was a proper old-school favourite. Two wafer fingers coated in chocolate, packed with nuts and crunch, and sold as a twin bar long before sharing snacks was a “thing”. It sat somewhere between a Twix and a Blue Rib and, but with its own unmistakable bite. There was even a coconut version, which only added to its cult status. Simple, satisfying, and no-nonsense, Banjo disappeared quietly, leaving behind one of the most underrated chocolate bars of its era. For many, it wasn’t just a snack, it was a staple.
