Why We Miss Them

Cadbury Spira memory

Chocolate, but make it fun Spira wasn’t just another chocolate bar, it was an experience. Two twisted sticks of smooth Cadbury milk chocolate, designed to be snapped, shared, or famously used as a straw for milk. It felt playful, clever, and a bit ahead of its time. When Spira disappeared, it took something genuinely different with it. Nothing before or since has quite replaced that simple joy. It’s one of those snacks people don’t just remember, they still talk about. And that says everything.

Disappointed? So are we! Let's get more votes and show them they’re wrong!

For my GCSE Art project I remember being fascinated by all of the different patterns and designs that chocolate bars and sweets had... I remember thinking, I am going to buy a lot of chocolate bars, chuck them into a pile and then draw them. Now I wouldn't say I'm massively great at drawing, but this probably went down as one of the best drawing's i've ever done and probably ever will. Now to the actual chocolate bar - once I'd drawn all of the bars I of course needed to eat them - all - by myself - sorry everyone! I remember it being the first time I tried Spira and quickly it became a favourite. Sometimes I like a nice plain chocolate bar without the fanciness and these were perfect - not too much of an indulgement, didn't fall to pieces like Cadbury Flake's or Galaxy Ripple's. Spot on. However one of the main reason's i'd like to see them return is that I've only just realised that THEY CAN BE USED AS A STRAW FOR MILK!!! I feel like my childhood was wasted not knowing this! So yeah, make the inner child me happy and bring them back - even just one so I can try this... please. Sorry everybody!
