Why We Miss Them
WispaCappuccino was a rich, grown up twist on the classic Wispa bar, combining Cadbury’s signature aerated milk chocolate with a smooth cappuccino flavoured caramel centre. The bubbly chocolate delivered the familiar light, melt in the mouth texture, while the coffee infused caramel added warmth, depth, and a gentle bitterness that set it apart from sweeter caramel bars. It felt indulgent rather than playful, more of a coffee break treat than a quick corner shop snack. The balance of chocolate and coffee flavours appealed especially to older teens and adults, offering something comforting, cosy, and slightly sophisticated at a time when coffee flavours were growing in popularity in the UK. When it disappeared, it left behind a noticeable gap for those who preferred chocolate with a deeper, roasted character rather than pure sweetness.
